Whilst this cake was a challenge, I enjoyed the planning, the research and the execution tremendously. When Adrian asked me to make a replica of the lorry his dad drove for D. E. Williams back in the summer, I knew it was a very important celebration for his dad's 80th birthday. It was a joy to chat with Adrian and figure out the design. Here's the finished product. The total cake was 14" long and made from the equivalent of 3x8" square chocolate biscuit cakes - 3kgs of chocolate, over 2 kgs of biscuits and that's not including the butter, syrup, Crunchies or fondant! Happy birthday, Paddy.
