Dublin Bus Cake

The big "roundy" birthdays like 30, 40, 50 etc., call for big cakes and when the recipient reaches 80, two cakes are called for! The cakes are for retired Dublin Bus driver, Tony, who celebrated this milestone recently. The main cake shows the bus he used to drive on route 15, Terenure to the city centre plus the man himself, sitting beside his driver handbook. Tony is a man of many talents so his accordion also features on the cake along side the music for "The Offaly Rover" as he was born in Tubber, Co. Offaly before moving to Dublin later in life. Nowadays, Tony enjoys the events put on by the Beaumount Men's Shed so there's a special quiz sheet, personalised for the occasion. The second, smaller cake is decorated simply with a crown [for Driver King] and the ever-important key for the bus. Happy birthday, Tony!
